Geeez Lebowski i guess under no circumstance should we help those injured in the course of work. I mean screw them. No help for them. If employer doesn't provide them proper personal protective equipment (PPE) screw them. If employer doesn't test air quality, screw them. If a person's health has suffered for work they were told was safe and employed to do then who cares so long as the contractor makes a profit. I mean lets not review the facts or what qualifies to get paid and just call them all opportunists no matter how bad there health is.

This is the problem with todays public thinking. Conservatives and liberals alike talk a big game about wanting to help people yet we are so jaded that when it comes down to it we favor profits over people whether its government profit for the liberals or corporate profits for so called conservatives.

FYI, i'm sure there will be people trying to game the system just as there will be insurance people trying to game hurt people. There willl be good lawyers and bad lawyers, there will be good doctors and bad doctors. However, with this line of thinking we should screw them all.

By the way this is for people working not only in the direct aftermath but also 6 months later who were still be told it was safe and not provided respirators et al.
