Yeah very true. I guess it will depend on who they gave up. With the two trades they've made so far they haven't really given up much to hurt the farm system. Hope it's the same way with this one.

Also, could be that Kinsler's injury is more serious than they originally thought.

Guzman can play short and 2nd and Kinsler will be out 3-4 weeks with groin injury. Guz will be a solid backup next year.

I like the deal, especially if IK is down for a while. Texas has made some great deals in the last few weeks, without having to give up either of the two stud pitching prospects.

The Cantu trade was the one we REALLY needed. Zero production out of the 1st base slot this year, so far.

The rumor is they did give up the two stud pitching prospects. I really hope not.

Yeah I like picking up Cantu. It also looks like Moreland is goin' to get his chance after last night. He looked pretty good for his first Major League game.

I am saying Perez (the lefty) or Scheppers, both of them are STUD starting pitchers. Hoping it was neither of those.

Me too. But, it looks like those rumors are dying down and neither one of those two. I've seen it's Tatusko and Roark. If that's the case, then it's another win for us. Three trades and all we've given up really is Smoak and Beaven.

Yes but he brings shakey defense with him as well.

That's the only thing that worries me about Cantu. Davis is a stud with the glove.

No doubt Davis is pretty much as good as it gets defensively for a first baseman. But thats what is sad about it to. If he could bat .250 he would have kept his job. Its getting pretty close to the end with him with the Rangers I would think. What blows my mind is how Taylor Teagarden is back with them. I'm starting a petition to bring back Salty.

You're totally right about Davis. Teagarden actually contributed to the team last night. I have a feeling that they may be using Salty for trade bait. But I could be completely wrong.

Its about time he contributed. He brings his BA to a whopping .065 for the season and 2 for 31 for the season. He sucks defensively as well. By far the crappiest catcher in the Rangers farm system. they need to give Salty another look.

I was being sarcastic about Teagarden. I forgot to put a emoticon to show it. lol But definetly need to bring up Salty or do something else. Teagarden can't cut it and should not be up with the Rangers. Just watching him catch is nerve racking, cause I feel like there's goin' to be a passed ball on every pitch and his hitting is attrocious.

Yeah Molina is good defensively but is average with the bat. Treanor is just about the same as Molina. Max Ramirez is a step down from them. Teagarden is not an MLB catcher imo. So with the revolving door at catcher why not try Salty again.
